In Sofiivska Borschahivka (Kyiv region), we purchased about 200 apartments where people whose lives were destroyed by the horror of war can now get a fresh start in nurturing community and receive their dignity back.

During the May trip to Ukraine, our founder, Dell Loy Hansen, and the US team had a chance to be a part of the grand opening of the first chicken coop in Senior Chudo Village.

Great opportunity for the US team to see the construction progress of the village, get to know the Ukrainian team, and learn more about the lives of happy residents who are finding hope here.

Dell Loy Hansen, as the founder of one of the main housing projects for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), had a chance to present the successful work of our foundation during the discussion about Recovery and Development of Communities and Territories During War and Post-War Period.

Dell Loy Hansen and representatives from the World Trade Center Utah and the University of Utah visited the UN in NYC to bring awareness to the plight of the Ukrainian people and laid out a blueprint for rebuilding communities.

April of 2024 is a month when Hansen Village is officially considered the bicycle village with two-wheeled transport outnumbering cars. There were over 350 bikes for children delivered to the village.

By Jenny Wilson: the governor of the Kyiv region, Ruslan Kravchenko, visited Utah. Along with businessman and philanthropist Dell Loy Hansen, I had the honor of hosting this delegation. Dell Loy and I sat next to Gov. Kravchenko as we heard the stories of Ukraine’s journey through pain and perseverance.

On December 6, the opening of the second stage of "Hansen's town" - a residence for IDPs - took place in Tarasivka. Over the course of two days, 80 families, including about 100 children, received keys to their apartments.

One woman’s story should remind the West of its duty to Ukraine. Clearly many folks have forgotten – or ignore – the lessons of history.
